Where We Come From
Tradewind Flight Services was founded with a clear purpose: to provide professional-grade flight training backed by real aviation experience, strong standards, and a commitment to helping pilots succeed. Based at Coastal Carolina Regional Airport in New Bern, North Carolina, Tradewind serves students at every stage of the journey - from first-time flyers earning their Private Pilot Certificate to experienced aviators pursuing advanced ratings and professional opportunities.
Our roots run deep in both aviation and military service. Tradewind is part of a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned organization led by retired U.S. Naval aviators, bringing decades of military aviation experience, discipline, accountability, and operational perspective to the training environment. Over the years, more than 10,000 pilots have trained through our programs, building the skills and experience needed to pursue personal, military, and professional aviation goals.
